Chiropractors

Dr. Arti Kumar

Dr. Kumar first discovered Chiropractic in her 1st year of University. She had been suffering from severe headaches that were limiting her ability to concentrate and focus on exams. She was in the middle of exploring career opportunities; always knowing that she wanted to pursue something in healthcare when she first stumbled across Chiropractic. Chiropractic was a modality of care she knew and understood little about it, but she quickly felt the results.

"My headaches started to go away and I felt like I could finally perform the way I always knew I could academically."

The art of manual manipulation peaked her interest, and the safe, non-invasive techniques that guide the bodies ability to heal itself was a true match for her passion! She graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario in 2013 with Clinical Honors. She has since practiced in Alberta and Saskatchewan in both urban and rural communities. She has also taken part in several International Volunteer trips to places like the Dominican Republic and the Amazon Rainforest in Peru.

"I love watching how bodies transform over the course of a treatment plan! Most people don't realize how good their bodies are meant to feel until they start taking these small steps to feel better. The results are amazing! I truly love educating patients about their bodies, and making resources available to them to enhance what their bodies are designed to do!"

Outside of work, Dr. Kumar and her husband enjoy travelling the world! She also enjoys Yoga, HIIT Training and spending time with friends and family. She's an avid podcast listener - so feel free to pick her brain on all the nuggets of wisdom she likes to collect!

Dr. Kayla Lucas

Dr. Lucas was first introduced to Chiropractic at 16 years old after sustaining a sports injury. Little did she know that it was going to change her life forever. Being diagnosed with a common neurological disorder at age 2, she was put on medication immediately following her diagnosis. Upon entering Chiropractic college, she began receiving regular adjustments, that resulted in her nervous system functioning more optimally and her body was able to heal over time!

Dr. Lucas graduated in 2015 from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota and has dedicated her life's work to sharing her love of holistic living with her patients and her community.

"I believe our bodies are designed to self -heal and self -regulate but for many of us we don’t know how to live a healthy lifestyle. Being a mother to 2, I see the value in learning and teaching others how to live holistically, so they are able to feel empowered in their own journey.

Working with kids and families has been an absolute blessing in my life. I have watched patients reach new heights in their health, conceive after years of trying, recover quicker from illness and injury and develop health habits that allow them to thrive."

For Dr. Lucas there is no greater honour than working with families and building lasting relationships.

Outside of the office Dr. Lucas is in Mom mode much of the time but does enjoy a good book or podcast and expanding her culinary skills. She considers herself a forever student and is constantly learning new ways to serve her community online and in-person.

"It’s the simple things in life that bring us the most joy- our family, our friends and the people that we meet along the way. I look forward to being a part of you and your family’s health and wellness journey."

It was in these younger years, where Alana was given a book on reflexology, and she would spend hours working on feet, trying to understand and make sense on how it all worked. This only grew a deeper desire to learn more about reflexology, and how she could then help others with reflexology. She completed her foot reflexology course in 2016 and became a RCRT (registered Canadian reflexology therapist. In 2018, Alana continued her education and took her hand reflexology course. Alana loves how reflexology can help the body restore and maintain its natural balance to facilitate healing within itself. She continues to master her current skills and is eager to continue expanding her knowledge in reflexology. Alana strives to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment that will help her clients achieve overall health and wellness.
